This release is a major upgrade to the previously circulating set top-transferred DVD. First, it was transferred to a PC and VBR encoded from the master camcorder tapes for premium video quality. Secondly, the audio has been replaced with the very fine sounding DR release 'Canadian Trail Mix'. Portions of "By-Tor and the Snow Dog" were missing from the filming; a short slide show is presented while the audio plays. And there is a bit of digital video noise at the very end of "Cygnus X-1" and the beginning of "Working Man"; this is due to a problem with original tapes and not a production error.
